This was too good to pass up so here is the second blogpost of the evening.
After posting the last post, I was itching to do something (plus it was freezing in my apartment) so I called a friend and ended up meeting him on Emek and sitting with him while he ate dinner at Schnitzy's (a kosher schnitzel restaurant). While sitting and talking, I am watching the traffic (cars, busses, and pedestrians) go past. It is a beautiful night and the moon looks very full. Then all of a sudden, I hear a honk.
An Egged bus is stopped across the street and the schnitzel sandwich maker runs out of the store carrying a bag, j-trots over to the driver of the bus-who is now holding what looks to be a 50 shekel bill out his window-and makes the drop/exchange. She then returns the same way- j-trot across the street and back behind the counter. I am laughing so hard and ask her if this is regular. She said he calls ahead when he is getting close but that it is a weekly event and he has a regular order.
What are you doing next Wednesday night? Sequel?
