I shot myself in the foot

ok, so not really...but what a fadicha!
I met Devora at Shaar Yafo (car entrance to the old city) today. I was on a quest to get a cheap shesh-besh (backgammon) board. I finally found one but was not the smartest about it. I was going shop to shop in the shuk asking what the cheapest board they had and then got to one where he asked-like what? I said like the wooden ones that you can buy at the supermarket for 20 shekels. He went towards the back and showed me one that was made very cheaply and asked if that was what I intended. I said yes and asked him how much- he said 20 shekels. OF COURSE! now no room for negotiation because I stupidly said the price. Later, Devora and I played shesh-besh on my "what could have been 10 shekel" board. Oh well.
