So after some stressful announcements on the plane about arrival time- shortly after take-off, we were told ETA was 3:30 Israel time (to remind you, chag started at 4:47 in Jerusalem), we landed at 2:05 and I took a sherut to my apartment.
I love the irony of Israel. On the way to J-lem, there was a sign on the highway which provided a number to dial for traffic information. It is illegal to hold a phone to your ear while driving in this country. (I wonder if there is an increased number of accidents in the km right after the sign.)
Devora was great and not only met me at my apartment but also helped me shlep my bags upstairs. I met my roommate, went to kab-shab and dinner at the A-K sukkah with all, met the newest edition to the family and unpacked fully all before bed at 10:30.
Today woke up, had a great breakfast- compliments to Devora, and went to the conservative shul in Talpiyot (Mayanot). Walked in and was given a chapter of Kohelet to read and an aliyah. Then attended their progressive sukkah hop lunch.
So far so good, tomorrow shopping and cleaning.

Glad you arrived safe and all of that. I'm amazed that you made it in time. Only you can manage to pull that off. Sukkot was very nice here. No engagements or other big announcements this year. Miss you!
