Taxes from abroad

I have been spoiled. For the last 3 years, when it came time to do my taxes, I would take all of my forms, hop on the subway and go to the offices where I worked with Hebrew University. Then I would sit for an hour, maybe an hour and a half while Jo e-filed my taxes for me. It cost be the fee for filing and a 25-50 dollar Starbucks giftcard. (I gave Jo raises)...

This year, there was no subway to take, no Starbucks to go to...I would have to do my taxes myself.

I am proud to announce that it took 4 hours and a number of e-mails, gchats, and phonecalls but I sucessfully e-filed my taxes.

A special thanks to Lauren, who despite not feeling that she could answer all of my questions about 1099-MISC forms and being "a business" for self employment reasons, was very helpful.
