11k up and around a mountain

On Friday, Ari ran another race. This one was a killer...even to watch.

We were running late and so as we were walking down the hill, there were thousands of runners heading up the mountain from the starting line. I turned to Ari and said- wow, enjoy. I'll be waiting for you at the finish line.
UGH!

So Ari set off, after the majority of the participants had set out. He was (sort of fortunately) number and chip-less which meant that he also kept his own time.

While Ari was running, I waited by the finish line and listened to an Israeli who liked to hear himself talk. What made this even better was that the microphone was chordless so occationally, the man would get up, walk around and go back to his table while talking.

Then when Ari crossed the finish line- smiling, sweaty, happy and exhausted. He was so cute.

I am so proud of him! 11k of uphill, village, and field trek.

And as a bonus- the porta-potties were called בראשית Beresheet- in the beginning...
