Kabbalah Shades

I know that in the states there has been a Kabbalah fad- from Madonna to Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher.

Here in Israel, it seems that Kabbalah fever is the new style to hit tourism.

In looking at kiddush cups for Passover, last night, I saw a number of them that had etched writing in the inside. I finally asked what the writing was. When I was told that it had to do with kabbalah, the cup went right back to the shelf.

Then today I was buying new glasses and in the store, and I also need new sunglasses. I noticed that there was a whole series of sunglasses by a "Kabbalah company" where the word מזל (Mazal) was written in small Hebrew lettering at the top of the right lense and the temples had designs that ranged from the "Tree of life" diagram with the connected circles to other diagrams of circles with etched key "kabbalistic" phrases.

I guess if they are UV protective, they would bring mazal to your eyes anyway.

Needless to say, I am still looking for new sunglasses.
