A conversation over ice cream

Last night, I went out to dinner with a friend and then we went for ice cream. We had 20 miniutes to sit with our cones before she had an appointment so we savored our glida and chatted. At one point, at the table behind us was a little kid who was about a year and a half- glassy blue eyes, blond mullet, ice cream chin...

He turned around and kept looking at me. I made a face- a fish face. His grandmother and mother were impressed and kept talking about it. I meanwhile had a conversation with the kid. Below is the translation of our conversation...

Me: Noam, are you in gan (daycare)?
Noam: Yes.
Me: Do you like it?
Noam: Yes.
Me: Could I go to your gan?
Noam: NO. (bashful face)
Me: Why not?
Noam: Kacha (because)
Me: Would I like it? Would I have a good time?
Noam: no.
Me: Why not?
Noam: Kacha.

At this point Noam's grandmother butts in and tells him that maybe it is because I am too big- although according to Noam, I could not even be the ganenet (the teacher).

I think that if Noam has mastered the "Kacha", his parents should start working on the "Stam" (generally the answer the third time the child asks "why") it means because I said so.
