A very happy 2010

New Years, or Sylvester (for St. Sylvester as it is called here in Israel) is another easily forgotten celebratory day...at least for most. Ari asked if the Americans do anything for New Year's eve and I had to think about it and then ask around.

We ended up going out to eat with family friends (thanks for a delicious dinner Finders and Hershs) and then to a friend's apartment for "the ball drop." Because we are in Israel and the New Year starts 7 hours earlier than EST, as we approached the last seconds until midnight, a youtube video was played and we shouted Happy New Year- yay 2009! (hehe) Ari gave me a kiss. Then someone else entered the room so we played the video again and welcomed 2009 again and then because we could, we did it twice more. Then we started watching other funny youtube videos (check out Ken Lee and Po V'Sham from Rechov Sumsum) and went home.

Happy 2010!
